How to move sprite

Im making a rpg game and their is the problem i have : i want to make a little introduction to make the player comfortable in the story so there are people who moves (sprite) and i use the command move sprite ...

I have trying lot of thing but the sprite return automatically after his move !

How to make him not return to his initial position ?(like a normal movement)

you know you use the normal "sprite x,x,x,x" command to create a sprite in the first place? Well, you ALSO use this command to move it, or change the image it shows. Just change the x and y positions and draw frame and the sprite will have jumped to it's new position. I don't know about the "move sprite" command, I've never heard of it, but I know the above method works.

you can still use the move sprite command if you want. i'm guessing that you declare a the sprite your moving like this:

sprite 0, 320, 240, 0

and then you use the move sprite command. but after the move sprite command has completed the above sprite statement is re-evaluated, placeing the sprite where it started. you need to make the sprite x and y variables that you define outside of the main loop so that they aren't re-evaluated.
