Should mp3's be used for music, or should musicfiles be in another file.
My music files are very large in mp3... i have a new file of 1.2 Mb and it's
only 48 seconds.... Is there a better solution then mp3.. ?

Second question: What about tntbasic limit, i have heard something about 16 Mb... is that true... And is that with music included....?

try to get a MOD music ( compose with Playerpro http://www.quadmation.com/ ) or download ( mostly copyrighted ) mods at modarchive.com. You may also use MIDIS if TNT ever gets to support it in the future...

As for the second question, it's true, it includes the music, it's the size of the whole file. The developpers of TNT said they woul corrct it in the future.

16 MB's good enough

If you are planning to get people to download your game, you probably don't want to make your game size reach 16 MB anyway. It might deter people from downloading.

16 Mb is not enough for me... that's what i'm affraid of..
I can delete the music files, but we need to have music if people want to register the game....
I have 4 musicfiles (and i want to make a new musicfile for each level)
and it's allready 6,6 Mb...
That's why i will try to find another compression other then mp3..

Another thing about the 16 Mb... i want to make lots of levels, each other world should be new, so i need a lot of graphics for one level....
So it will be difficult to stay in the 16 Mb...

You can convert MOD to MP3 but not vice versa. You can convert midi to MOD though.

MP3 cannot be converted to MOD with a simple click but if it is only an instrumental file (with no voices) you may recompose it in MOD and if you're talentuous enough the sound will be very similar. Otherwise you may reduce the mp3 rate. Mp3's the best audio compression ( except mp4 but it's not in TNT )
