Is there a possibility within tntbasic to change one colour in the entire screen.

What i want to do is this: make something looks like glowing, if have a game with city lights in the back, these 'green' colours must fade in and out (or it would be nice), and i have no other green colours in the game...
Can i just change these green colours slowly into black and then bringing it back to the original colour ?

Ah, the days of changing a palette to save animation space have more or less died with the end of 16 bit console gaming - the technique was really only used to save memory and slots on the colour table. I can't think of any way to make it work in TNT, so you'll have to do it the boring way and make lots of frames in photoshop.

what about:

quote:

set pen color green
set pen transparency 50
repeat
if n>9 then n=n-1
if n<1 then n=n+1
fill oval x-n,y-n to x+n,y+n
until world_ends

draws a semitransparent circle and then makes it slightly bigger and then after a while it makes it smaller.

i don't know how to remove the previous circle at the start of each frame, i don't use drawing much......

i'd try making a lens flare sprite and placing them over the street light images and changing the sprite transparency of the lens flares. if you wanted to get really creative you could work on making them flicker on and off somtimes.

the only thing with using lens flare is that osx 10.3 users get a horrible flickery effect.

i use single pixel sprites for things like this, and fade them out with set sprite transparency

cheers

i thought the flicker problem was only when you draw to the screen using the drawing commands, like frame rect or line. i don't know though, i don't run 10.3.
