Upon switching to hardware mode I note that several useful functions become available such as scaling and rotating sprites. This is good. What is bad is that on my G4/800 iMac it does not so much not work, but does just the opposite. I now cannot use viewports (it displays a black area after the original boundaries have been passed), and get pixel colour (a must for my map collision detection system, which uses an colour coded sprite on an invisible canvas to tell whether the user has strayed into an unnacceptable area) is not working at all, both of which work with software rendering. Any ideas about what's wrong?

Thanks

Hardware mode is quite buggy in some computers, I've always said it... ;)
