I just downloaded TNT Basic and i'm running it under 10.2.6.
I could only get the basic Splat demo to run. The other demos seem to crash. The screen will fade to black and then nothing happens. Usually I can alt-apple-esc and force quit from there, but not always.

Is there any detailed list of bugs for TNT Basic and OS X?

10.2.6

I'm working with the latest version of TNT basic (1.12) under Mac OS X 10.2.6 and it works fine, so there must be some other factor. Although I have read discussions on this forum about problems with input on Mac OS X in certain situations, but that doesn't sound like what you're experiencing.

Well, I doubt this helped you out much. Sorry! Maybe someone else can figure out what's going on.

Configuration

Here's my system:
OS 10.2.6
G4 Cube - Power Logix 1GHz
1.5 GB RAM

i've got the apple project builder installed, but most all other system software is standard...

is there any debugging ability i can track to see where it
is bombing?

thanks.

Weren't other similar problems with VBL sync? What if you use "vbl sync off" command ?

Solution

thanks.

Turning the VBL sync off did work. (vbl sync off)

Is this a bug with TNT basic or is it specific to my
hardware configuration?

It's something mad with our vbl syncing code, it seems to fail on OS X with certain video cards. It's on our todo list of stuff to investigate! Any detailed reports of other configurations this happens on may prove helpful.

Cheers,

Mark

Possibly, thanks for the offer! When I finally get around to looking at this bug I contact a few people and try and get the info/testing done that I need.

Cheers,

Mark
