Is there a way to read the name of an object type? I can't find a command to do this. The Map object Type command only returns the type number, not the name.

Hi,

I don't know if there is an option to read names, but even if there is, I suggest you do not use it. If your code is good, you probably won't need to use each object more than twice.

Mathew, what do you mean? If you are for example doing an platformer and use objects for the coins(or whatever object you use) that you are supposed to collect then there might be loads of em at each level. Just look at the 2D Mario games.

It's ok, I figured out a way to just use the type number. Thanks for replying though.

I meant call them more than two times in the code. If your code is good, you'll use a for loop and call the object only once.
