I took the indoor scrolling sample and added a figure that walks in four directions and the screen scrolls as he walks. It works fine in hieroglyph, but when I do a stand alone "build" I lose the background. It turns to small squares and numbers. I also get a dialog box that says the resource pict 128 is already an applet. Huh?? What am I doing wrong?
What should I choose to "build", stationary or hieroglyph document?

Resource 128

Thanks,Danlab, that did the trick. However Iwas wondering how do you change a resource that is already there? Such as the scoll map used in the scroll indoors demo.I deleted the map resorce 128 and of course lost the map. Can I rename it or what? It's drawn with map tiles and therefore isn't really a map untill the tiles form the map.

ResEdit

Are you familiar(=working knowledge) with resEdit ?
If so you can physically replace it with another resource...

i wasn't aware that you'd have to go so far...
aren't you able to rename/renumber resources from within HieroGlyph ?

TNT Basic bug

Hi Toast,

As DanLab says, it' a bug in the current version of TNT Basic, we'll have a patch out very soon.

To renumber a resource that already exists in your project, just select it and choose 'Get Info' from the resource menu. Then give it another resource id (other than 128).

After renumbering your backdrop image, you will notice that in the map editor, all your tiles are displayed as question marks. To fix this, choose 'Set Map Tiles' from the Genesis menu while editing your map, and enter the new resource id.

Hope this helps!

Mark
