its possible adding a mask option in copy canvas fonction?
like copycanvas a,b to c,x,y
a=canvas to copy
b=the canvas for the mask
c=destination canvas

Masking

Hmm... Would you want bitmap mask or greyscale masking or both? It's a good idea, but I don't think it would be fast enough for full screen real time copying (ie every frame).

Another idea would be if you could pre-calculate your mask (then copy it into a sprite image). Then the mask would be held as RLE data (run length encoded), which would make the copying a LOT faster.

Are the types of masks you're thinking about able to be precalcuated or would you still want the mask copy?

I'll look into it.

just a copy canvas not for real time but for bulding maps, or copy a small zone on the main sprite.
