OWARI

That's absolutely excellent, the graphics and sound are very good, the whole presentation is. I'm also very impressed with the AI, mainly because it keeps absolutely thrashing me :)

You'll receive my registration very soon.

Keep up the good work,
John

Congratulation ! This is the best TNT game we have ever seen !
And made by a french guy ;-))

We want to see your code ! ;-)

Perhaps you should put a tntbasic logo somewhere in your web site. It would be great for the tnt team...

Excellent!

Owari is very well done and looks incredibly professional, I'm very impressed! I spent a long time trying to beat the AI, it's pretty clever! - a superb example of TNT Basic coding!

Thanks for putting that 'Made with TNT Basic' link on the Owari webpage - it helps us a lot.

Keep up the good work!

Mark

I must say, that is a fine job you did. The game actually looks professional! And it's great to see some real commercial games being done in TNT Basic.

I'd like to more about how you implemented the Shareware lock where you can only play 8 times before you have to register. That could prove useful.

I really want to see more games from others here.

And when your source code will be available ? ;-)
I think the incredible things about your shareware are graphics. If Warcraft 3 was not 3D I would believe you made it with TNTBasic ;-)
I can't wait for your next game ! Please, give us a beta version !

8 plays

Hi,

The 8 plays limit used by Danlab games could be done simply by creating a Data file, and adding a value into it every time the game is launched and reading the value until it equals 8, where you are stopped from continuing.
Still can't think of a method for registration codeword recognition though! Anyone else got ideas on this? I hope this helps any shareware developers thinking of using TNT, but Danlab's too good to use such a simple meathod!
Keep up the good work,
Mark

better, best

well when it come to actual file i/o you have the option of making an addendum directly to the program itself. If you've ever downloaded RealBasic you might be familiar with how it limits your usage period without any external files. The same could be doen (however its not recommended; with essential preferences/settings, or even with save game files (like many GameBoy games))
