Hello, I just downloaded TNT Basic and it looks like it was put together well.

I was wondering if anyone has made a platform tuturial because I am planning a Mario game and I don't know where to start.

I have been using Real Basic for the last year so I am not used to having all my code in one big text field.

Thank you, Mark Davis

Hi there,

A good place to start is always in our learning zone, which contains tutorials to teach you the basics of TNT Basic. After that, Bang On, a free game which comes with TNT Basic may help, or searching our forums for other users' experiences at making platform games!

Good luck, and keep asking!

Help as I can

I'm working on a platformer. This forum has been a great help to me so far, so I'm more than happy to asnwer questions as you have them and spit out some (less-than-optimized) code where it helps.

The lack of a tutorial may stem from the fact that a platformer is really quite a project. It would, in my opinion, be fair game for a short book what with level design, engine implementation, sprites, scrolling, scoring, objects, AI, etc.

So basically (no pun intended), just ask.
