fade down
hide mouse
graphics mode 640,480
initialize networking

draw picture 245
draw frame

What's wrong with my code? Whenever I try to run it, it'll turn black and then immediately end the program...

Sorry if this is a basic question.

Try fade up?

You fade the gamma down, but never put it back up again...

You also don't loop at all (unless that is just a code snippet), after the draw frame your code just ends... so, so does your program.

Add:

loop
draw frame
forever

at the end and see if this helps...

You might want to put fade up after initialize networking.
