Here's a bug I think.

The first time you run your game from Heiroglyph and the TNT Basic app isn't running, it returns an error. But it runs as long as the app's already running.

In the help files it says Heioglyph will launch TNT Basic and pass the file to it.

Maybe it's just an OS X problem?

Hmm, it works fine for me(On OS 9 and OS X, but I've not tested 1.01 in OS X)

Have you tried 1.01

We had this bug in 1.00, but I thought it was fixed in 1.01?

Nope. Still does it.

But only like 90% of the time. Which gets a little annoying when TNT Basic crashes on me which I will explain in my next thread, "Unload Images crashes TNT Basic".

Can't reproduce this one either!

Hi Jason,

I've not seen that error since 1.01 "fixed" it.

What is the error message (and error code) that you get when it happens?

Does it only happen after TNT Basic has crashed and you try and relaunch it? (Which might be why I don't see it because I can't get TNT Basic to crash!)

Any further information is welcome, until then I'm just waiting for it to happen to me so I can fix it.

Cheers

Mark

Can't launch TNT Basic

I've been talking with Jason a bit about this off forum. It's not that TNT Basic doesn't launch, it's just that Hieroglyph displays an error before TNT Basic has finished launching - ie. it's still bouncing in the dock.

I used to get this a lot on my machine, but then it went away. I'm now suspecting that the culprit could have been Mac OS 10.1. I'm now running 10.1.2.

If anyone out there is running TNT Basic on Mac OS X, can you let me know if you see this problem and let me know (in both cases) along with your system version.

Thanks!

Mark

I seem to still have this problem with 1.02.

OS X.

But it's WAY less than before.

Yeah. Fortunately it's not one of those "Can't program much more until it's fixed" bugs. Just a "Boy, this is annoying, but manageable" bug. Good luck figuring it out.
