Hi all

I made another example over the weekend. It's a simple car racing system where you DRAW your own course. It's for up to 4 players and you can choose the number of laps (up to 20)...
The graphics and the GUI are very simple and the code is buggy/not clean, but at least it works. :-D

I also included some things to make it run on slower computers (I'm using an old g3 233 mhz, so I had to do it :-).

Are you interested? Please write your email here and I'll send you a copy (~400 kb).

Is the game finished, I can see that you can shoot, but if the bollet hits a car it does nothing. are you going to make it so it does somthing when a car gets hit,

very cool,
Stephen,

whoops

whoops =)

you got the "wrong" or unfinished version, the one I'm currently working on... :-)

I'll add a system with shooting and lives/energy in the next version. Currently you can shoot but nothing happens (like you've seen). and I'll add several different kinds of powerups like shields, many weapons and maybe speed upgrades. I'd also like to include more checkpoints, so it's impossible to cheat (although it's hard to cheat now).

I'm sorry, I hope it don't bother you much. :-)

I made a simple GUI (menu, quit and play) where you can set the settings (i should include a save function).

i also did some work on the weapon engine and I made a routine to save/paint/load maps.

However this was some weeks ago... for now, the project is "on ice" (it's a german expression)...

Oh, I moved over to a new computer since then and lost it. I'm sorry.
It wasn't that good anyway so I stopped to develop it. ;)
