Hi everyone,

I'm working on a risk game and I made each country a sprite but to make it so if you click on a country and then click on the one that you want to fight to. to do that do I have to make each country a button, or is there a diffrent way to do it,

Stephen.

no its ok with sprites: what you need to do is create a small 1*1pixels "sprite" with position mousex and mousey, and then when the user clicks the mouse check collisions between the 1*1 sprite and the "country" sprites.

Or, use a sprite as a custom cursor and do the same. You probably want one anyway.

Buttons

I think buttons work better since you can make the country change it's color or get highlighted when the cursor is over it. You can make the troups in the country sprites.

no,buttons can't be a solution because a button must be a rectangle, and countries are more complex!
then you must use sprites!
